Company ProfileFarmsite Technologies is a regional provider of technology solutions to agricultural producers in the Mid Atlantic region. Founded in 2000 Farmsite has worked to become an industry leader and has worked with over 400 farming operations in the Mid Atlantic area. Farmsite Technologies was founded in 2000 by Scott Quinn. Scott brought his unique background in farming, agronomy, and technology development integration to the market in creating Farmsite.
About the Founder Before starting Farmsite - Scott worked in the retail Agribusiness world. It was here that he began to experiment with merging technology and agronomy. Scott started working with computers soon after graduation from the University of Delaware with an agriculture degree. Scott started work for a local farm input supply company in 1995. Before the end of the year was over he was working throughout the mid Atlantic region on developing a new services division for the company. This services division was to focus mainly on new GPS enabled technologies such as precision farming. Scott traveled extensively at this point and spent much time in the mid west learning form the real pioneers in the field of precision farming. Certifications and Affiliations include: Certified Crop Advisor, MD Nutrient Management Certified, DE Nutrient Management Certified, and Farm Beurea membership.
